There are two things that must be remembered.
- There is a God.
- I ain’t Him.
I try to be God, sometimes, usually just in my head. I rehearse and plan out and fantasize how I’d LIKE for things to go. Boy, if I just had the strength, or the authority, or the position, or the power, the things I’d take care of. Usually when I’m trying to redress some perceived (or even actual) wrong, I picture how I want it to go.
Yeah, but vengeance belongs to the Lord. (Deuteronomy 32:35 and Romans 12:19) I’d make a royal mess of things trying to be Him. Not that there aren’t things He would have me do, but I certainly don’t need to be doing HIS job.
I’d make kind of a silly god, wouldn’t I? Henry, god of juggling and bad jokes. Beware my wrath, foolish mortals.
Hope all’s well out there, friends, and God bless.
